Labrys, the lesbian magazine from Atlanta, has run an article on the band in it's October/November issue. Entitled Wired for Sensation, it bills the Daisies as being set to be the next UK sensation to hit America and goes on to mention some of the songs that will be on the upcoming North American album.


New US reviews

"The U.S. is finally catching on to U.K. band Wire Daisies" says NewNowNext.com, just one of the many reviews that the Daisies are getting on American websites. The sites are unanimous in their enthusiasm for Gay Boy, with Newnownext calling the song "pretty fantastic" and GayWired.com loving the "utterly upbeat and subtly camp song that should make for many a night on the dance floor". GayWired.com has also posted the article to all its network sites, so the word is out in the States!



Wire Daisies team up with Fly-Life

The band have joined forces with the Manhattan-based company Fly-Life for their US campaign. Fly-Life is a dominant force in gay and lesbian-focused PR which works with major artists including Macy Gray, Diana Ross, Moby, Shakira, KT Tunstall, Gwen Stefani and the Eurythmics, to name but a few. With such an impressive roll call, the Daisies are both thrilled and very proud to be working with them!


OutQ in the Morning with Larry Flick

On Tuesday October 9th (tomorrow!) the Wire Daisies will be on the gay morning talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio, "OutQ in the Morning with Larry Flick". Ols and Treana will be talking to Larry live at 10.20 am EST / 3.20 pm UK. Wire Daisies tutorials on 'Now Play It'

'Now Play It', the unique internet-based video service where you can learn to play your favorite songs taught by the artists themselves, has just won the Best Digital Service award at the BT Digital Music Awards at London's Camden Roundhouse.

The Daisies have four tutorials available on nowplayit.com, alongside the likes of KT Tunstall and Coldpaly. Steve takes you through Never Meant to Hurt You, Make Everything Change and Rocket Girl, whilst Treana gives you a one to one on the riff and rhythm of Rocket Girl.

A 'Now Play It' DVD will also be coming out shortly, with the Daisies part of the tracklisting.
